During the course GRA 420: Packaging Design, I created an alternative packaging concept for an imaged horror-themed three-book series, with an emphasis on giving the packaging a “second life.” The wooden frames, constructed in the prototype using laser-cut birch wood, hold the books in its initial form and re-connect afterwards to form book-ends. The printed sleeve serves as the only non-reusable material, making the design both cost-effective and eco-friendly.
